Financial Controller (France)

About the role

The S.F.E. Group, a leading manufacturer and distributor of equipment for metal tube processing, is seeking a Financial Controller for its French entity. Based in the Valence area (or potentially the UK), you will oversee local accounting, ensure accurate reporting, and support international consolidation for the Group’s US‑based management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the local accounting team of two professionals.
• Prepare, analyse and comment on monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS and US GAAP standards.
• Collaborate closely with the International Financial Controller in Germany.
• Drive harmonisation and continuous improvement of financial processes across S.F.E. Group subsidiaries.
• Maintain internal control procedures and meet closing deadlines.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience in finance, audit or financial controlling within an international environment.
• Proven team‑management experience with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• High level of accuracy, strong analytical abilities and autonomous working style.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of US GAAP.
• Strong understanding of IFRS.
