Financial Controller – Group Finance, London

About the role

We are seeking a technically strong Financial Controller to join a large international industrial manufacturing group in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to move from practice into a visible, global finance position.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation of annual and half‑year statutory reporting.
• Assist with monthly group management reporting and analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors during key reporting periods.
• Prepare technical accounting papers on complex accounting matters.
• Work with divisional and shared‑service finance teams on IFRS compliance.
• Support quarterly internal control reviews and reporting.
• Analyse head‑office costs and wider group finance information.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, acquisitions, disposals and other finance projects.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.
• Recently qualified or 1‑2 years post‑qualified experience.
• Strong audit background, preferably from a Big 4 or large accountancy firm.
• Good grounding in IFRS, statutory reporting and group accounts.
• Ambitious and keen to build a long‑term career in industry.
• Strong Excel skills and confident analytical approach.
• Comfortable working with senior finance stakeholders.
• Exposure to international, multi‑currency groups is useful.
• Experience in manufacturing or a similarly complex sector is helpful but not essential.
