Job description
About the role
We are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing investment group based in London’s West End. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will own all finance activities across a multi‑entity, multi‑jurisdiction business while working in a collaborative, hybrid environment (four days in office, Friday remote).
Key responsibilities

- Own Board and investor reporting, including narrative, analysis and performance drivers.
- Drive commercial portfolio analysis across deals, borrowers and investors.

- Lead the audit process and act as primary contact for auditors.
- Manage relationships with advisers, lenders and external service providers.
- Oversee all tax, regulatory and statutory obligations.
- Take ownership of financial management for operating assets, including hospitality and development projects.
- Lead financial delivery on development activities (drawdowns, covenants, monitoring surveyors, lender coordination).
- Own forward‑looking planning including cash‑flow, liquidity and scenario analysis.
- Develop systems, controls and reporting to support a growing, increasingly complex business.
- Operate as the senior finance lead, reducing reliance on the CFO.
Required profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
- Strong technical grounding in reporting, tax and audit.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret performance, risk and returns.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders such as lenders, auditors and advisers.
- Proactive, solutions‑driven and comfortable operating independently.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader business context.
- Experience in asset management and multi‑entity environments.
Required skills
- Financial reporting
- Tax compliance
- Audit coordination
- Portfolio analysis
- Cash‑flow modelling
- Scenario analysis
What we offer
- Base salary of £80,000‑£90,000 dependent on experience.
- Private healthcare.
- Pension scheme.
- 25 days annual leave.
- Annual bonus.
