Financial Crime Training Specialist (6‑month contract)

About the role
This 6‑month, full‑time position is focused on building a brand‑new, role‑based training framework for financial crime prevention. Working closely with compliance and business teams, you will ensure that Relationship Managers, KYC Analysts and other key staff understand their specific financial crime risks and know how to identify and escalate them.
Key responsibilities
- Design and launch a mandatory, role‑specific training programme from the ground up.
- Conduct Training Needs Assessments and map roles to determine required training content.
- Create a full suite of learning materials, including slide decks, e‑learning modules and practical labs.
- Develop specialised content that teaches employees how to spot, manage and report financial crime risks in their daily activities.
- Measure training effectiveness through metrics such as QA scores and pass rates, and continuously improve the programme.
Required profile
- Deep knowledge of financial crime and compliance regulations (e.g., FCA, AML, virtual‑asset rules).
- Proven experience in instructional design and creating engaging training content.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills, able to influence line managers and senior leaders.
- Experience in governance, control design, testing and audit closure is a plus.
- Familiarity with evaluating training impact over time.
