Financial Operations Manager

About the role

The Financial Operations Manager leads the Treasury, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring optimal cash liquidity, risk management and efficient payment processes across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multi‑currency cash liquidity and inter‑company financing across 11 bank accounts, delivering daily reports to Aberdeen Treasury and DF/OFL.
• Prepare currency cash‑flow forecasts, execute large‑value payments, and oversee straight‑through processing (STP) and related bank costs.
• Design and maintain currency‑hedging strategies in line with Group risk policies.
• Serve as the primary contact for all banking relationships and coordinate with Group Treasury.
• Implement control policies, ensure compliance with tax, audit and Group guidelines, and drive process improvements.
• Provide Treasury expertise to other business areas and support the Fraud and Ethics team.
• Oversee secure banking system access, manage treasury system permissions, and mitigate fraud risk.
• Optimize AP and AR processes, act as SAP Key User, raise incident tickets, and maintain SOPs with third‑party teams.
• Supervise a team of two direct FTEs, conduct quarterly appraisals, set objectives and review performance.

Required profile

• ACCA/ACT qualification or equivalent accountancy degree.
• Professional approach with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Extensive global cash‑management and treasury experience, including domestic, international and SEPA payment systems.
• Proven relationship‑management capabilities with banks and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (Key User).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of Quantum and CashPooler treasury platforms.
• Experience with currency hedging, foreign‑exchange risk management and STP.
