Financial Operations Manager

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join a fast‑growing international retail and e‑commerce business in North West London. The role will oversee day‑to‑day finance operations, work closely with senior finance leadership and drive process improvements as the business scales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable function, including invoice processing, payment runs, supplier records and controls.
• Oversee weekly UK and US payment runs, ensuring accurate coding, approval and timely payment.
• Support purchase order controls and invoice‑to‑PO matching with Production and Operations teams.
• Manage and enhance the Accounts Receivable and order‑to‑cash cycle, including onboarding, credit checks, collections and customer queries.
• Monitor working‑capital metrics such as DSO, DPO, cash collection performance and aged balances.
• Coordinate monthly UK payroll and fortnightly US payroll, ensuring accurate calculations, journals and reconciliations.
• Administer employee expenses and corporate card programmes, enforcing policy compliance.
• Identify, design and implement finance process improvements, workflow automation and system integrations.
• Lead testing, implementation and rollout of new finance tools and system enhancements.
• Partner with IT and operational teams to improve system integrations and data integrity.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Finance Operations Manager or in a similar finance operations role.
• Experience supervising an AP/AR Assistant and collaborating with senior finance leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes, reduce manual activity and enhance system integrations.
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, payroll, cash management and month‑end processes.
