Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant

About the role

Our market‑leading international banking client is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Accountant to join its finance team in London. The role is hybrid, offering the flexibility to work both on‑site and remotely while contributing to strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance financial models for forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Lead budgeting processes and support strategic planning initiatives.
• Partner with business units to provide financial insights and drive performance.
• Prepare and deliver regular management reports.
• Analyse large data sets to identify trends and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial modelling and forecasting, preferably built from scratch.
• Background in a small, hands‑on finance function.
• Experience in financial services, ideally within banking, with solid understanding of banking products.
• Qualified accountant or pursuing a professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, AAT, CFA, FRM).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in an FP&A role within the banking sector.
