Financial Planning Team Manager – Bristol (Hybrid)

About the role

This is a hands‑on managerial position within a well‑established wealth management firm in Bristol. You will support the Director of Financial Planning and a trainee planner while leading a team of junior administrators across several offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Financial Planning Director and a Trainee Financial Planner.
• Prepare client meeting packs, arrange meetings and manage adviser diaries.
• Liaise with clients and providers to progress new and existing business, including processing Letters of Authority.
• Maintain accurate client records using the firm’s CRM and workflow systems.
• Manage cases from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with FCA requirements.
• Coach, mentor and develop Junior Administrators, allocating workloads and acting as the technical escalation point.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Approximately 3 years’ experience as a Financial Planning Administrator in a wealth‑management environment.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or coaching junior team members.
• Good knowledge of pensions, investments and broader wealth‑management products.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end financial advice process.
• Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a collaborative approach.

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using workflow management systems.
