Financial Processes and Systems Trainer

About the role

The Financial Processes and Systems Trainer will design, develop and deliver engaging learning experiences that enable staff across the University of Oxford to use financial processes and systems confidently and consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse learning needs within the Finance Division and translate them into tailored training programmes.
• Create and maintain learning materials, e‑learning modules and job aids for financial systems.
• Deliver face‑to‑face, virtual and blended training sessions for a diverse university audience.
• Support colleagues in applying new knowledge, troubleshooting issues and adopting best practice.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content based on feedback and performance data.
• Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure training aligns with system updates and policy changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in adult learning design and delivery, preferably within a finance or higher‑education environment.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, systems and related terminology.
• Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
