Financial Reporting Manager

About the role

A leading organisation in Manchester is creating a Financial Reporting Manager position within its Group Services team. You will be responsible for preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS and managing internal financial reporting in a listed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end, half‑yearly and year‑end close cycles across the group finance function.
• Prepare and review audit deliverables, responding to queries within agreed timelines.
• Produce high‑quality management information for divisional Finance Directors and business partners.
• Document technical accounting positions and draft detailed papers on complex IFRS issues such as revenue recognition, leases, share‑based payments and business combinations.
• Lead and develop a small team of two direct reports, providing guidance and mentorship.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with strong technical expertise.
• Experience in consolidated financial statement preparation under IFRS.
• Proven ability to manage internal reporting processes and audit coordination.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with senior stakeholders.
