First Officer – Airbus A320

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a qualified First Officer to join its Airbus A320 fleet. Based in Abu Dhabi, the successful candidate will support the Captain in operating safe, efficient flights while gaining experience in a fast‑growing international airline.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain with flight planning, navigation and aircraft operation in accordance with Etihad procedures and regulatory standards.
• Monitor aircraft position, terrain and weather continuously to ensure safe navigation.
• Communicate clearly with the Captain and crew to support decision‑making and flight safety.
• Maintain discipline, professional appearance and represent Etihad positively on the ground and in the air.
• Assume command of the aircraft if the Captain becomes incapacitated, following established protocols.

Required profile

• Valid commercial pilot licence with an Airbus A320 type rating.
• Minimum of 1,500 flight hours, including recent experience on the A320 family.
• Demonstrated professionalism, teamwork and a commitment to safety.
• Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi and adapt to a multicultural environment.
