About the role
We are seeking an experienced Floor Layer to join our Staines team, working in partnership with Brent Council. You will install and repair a variety of flooring types across residential properties, delivering high‑quality, safe, and professional results for the local community.
Key responsibilities
- Install and renew sheet vinyl flooring, ensuring smooth, bubble‑free finishes and sealed seams.
- Lay ceramic and other tiles, including cutting, alignment, grouting and sealing.
- Fit cap and cove wet‑room floors to create seamless, waterproof surfaces.
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, repairing and priming for optimal adhesion.
- Apply self‑levelling compounds and screed to create even bases.
- Carry out flooring works in kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas and void properties.
- Measure and cut flooring materials accurately around fixtures and obstacles.
- Use hand and power tools safely, maintain equipment and company vehicle.
- Log work progress using a PDA system and communicate professionally with tenants and colleagues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a floor layer in domestic and commercial settings.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks.
- Full UK driving licence and own hand and power tools.

What we offer
- Annual salary up to £38,500.
