Food and Nutrition Teacher – Secondary School (Temp to Permanent)

About the role

This temporary-to-permanent position is for an experienced Food and Nutrition Teacher at a well‑established secondary academy in Aylesbury. The role starts in September 2026 and offers full teaching responsibilities across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a diverse and inclusive school community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, practical Food and Nutrition lessons for KS3‑KS4 students.
• Inspire learners to achieve their personal best in a supportive environment.
• Plan and assess work in line with the department’s schemes of work.
• Contribute to the Design & Technology department’s development and enhancement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (desirable).
• Proven experience teaching Food and Nutrition at secondary level (essential).
• Commitment to supporting all learners, including those with additional needs.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and reliable commuting to Aylesbury.
