About the role
We are seeking a Food Category Manager to lead the management and development of a specific range of food categories for our client. The role focuses on improving price, performance and availability of the assigned categories while working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in product planning and the negotiation of pricing and promotional activities.
- Participate in supplier and category reviews, providing insights on trends, seasonal demand and product performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best product offering for customers.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with all KPIs.
- Track stock levels to guarantee product availability.
Required profile
- Previous experience as a Buyer within a food business.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
