Food, Health & Safety Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Food, Health & Safety Manager to lead compliance, safety and quality across our independent school catering operations. You will travel nationally to ensure each site meets the highest standards of food safety, workplace health and safety, and environmental practice while supporting teams to deliver excellent dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate LTI and RIDDOR incidents and drive year‑on‑year reduction in injury rates.
• Promote a zero‑accident culture and embed safety best practices across all locations.
• Investigate allergy incidents and near‑misses, identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
• Monitor safety performance, audit data and trends to inform continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and school catering standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Food, Health & Safety managerial role, preferably within catering or education settings.
• Strong ability to engage with clients, colleagues and school communities.
• Excellent analytical and investigative skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly across London, the Midlands and Northern regions.
