Forward Deployed Engineer II

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer II to provide technical expertise and on‑site support for customers implementing its enterprise autonomy software. You will work closely with clients to understand requirements, integrate AI solutions, and ensure successful deployment of Hivemind technology across a range of unmanned platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Become an expert user of the Hivemind Enterprise Autonomy Software Development Kit.
• Develop AI and autonomy applications for unmanned platforms across air, sea, land and space.
• Deploy Hivemind AI infrastructure at customer sites and provide technical training.
• Assist customers in integrating Hivemind autonomy into their vehicles and debug software/API issues.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to address feedback and improve products.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and training materials.
• Support the sales team with complex technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (Master’s or PhD may substitute for experience).
• At least 2 years of industry experience in software engineering (or less with an advanced degree).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
