Forward Deployed Engineer – Infrastructure Specialist (Europe)

About the role

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how enterprises harness AI in real‑world applications, acting as the bridge between Cohere’s North platform and client engineering teams across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end deployment of North in private cloud and on‑premises environments, covering planning, configuration, testing and rollout.
• Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements and data management practices.
• Experiment at high velocity while maintaining quality to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations.
• Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, ensuring compliance with data‑privacy and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment‑related technical issues, providing timely solutions to minimise downtime.
• Travel up to 20–40 % of the time to work on‑site with customers and partners.

Required profile

• Experience working directly with customers.
• Experience deploying enterprise software in private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proven experience administering large‑scale production Kubernetes clusters and using Helm.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and version‑control tools such as Git.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking and virtualization.
• Ability to thrive in fast‑paced environments where priorities shift rapidly.
