Founding Engineer – Future Head of Engineering

About the role

Join a fast‑growing, venture‑backed tech startup as a Founding Engineer. You will own the core mobile product, shape the technical vision, and have a clear path to become Head of Engineering within 9‑18 months.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and deployment of a production‑grade mobile application.
• Deliver features end‑to‑end, from concept through release.
• Drive performance, scalability, security and user‑experience of the product.
• Leverage AI tools to boost engineering productivity and contribute to AI‑powered features.
• Collaborate closely with the founders on product and technical decisions.
• Define the future engineering roadmap and help build the engineering team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong ownership mindset.
• Passion for moving into leadership and building teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Required skills

• Strong mobile development background, especially with React Native.
• Experience building and shipping mobile applications.
• Proficiency with APIs, backend integrations and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with AI tools and modern development workflows.
