Founding Head of Public Sector
cosine · London
Job description
About the role
Cosine is building the UK’s frontier AI lab for autonomous software engineering and needs a senior leader to own its public‑sector go‑to‑market motion. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will shape how the company engages with government, defence‑adjacent bodies and other high‑trust public organisations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day engagement with priority public‑sector accounts, mapping senior sponsors, procurement and policy stakeholders.
- Develop multi‑threaded relationships across CIO, CTO, CISO and other decision‑makers to turn sovereign AI interest into concrete commercial opportunities.
- Run structured discovery to capture public‑sector priorities, use‑cases, procurement routes and security requirements, feeding insights back to product and sales teams.
- Convert relationships and market education into qualified pipeline opportunities such as pilots, proofs‑of‑concept, bids and commercial proposals.
- Partner with systems integrators and delivery partners to create joint account plans, bid strategies and framework access for public‑sector projects.
