FP&A Analyst – Finance Planning & Analysis

About the role

We are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join a professional services organisation in Oxford. The role will support financial planning and analysis, helping senior leadership make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial reports to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models for performance forecasting.
• Collaborate with department heads to set budgets and monitor spend.
• Identify and investigate variances between actual and forecasted results.
• Support the creation of board‑level presentations and reports.
• Assist in improving financial processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide insights on market trends and their financial impact.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of data within accounting systems.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Experience preparing detailed financial reports and forecasts.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and principles.
• Ability to interpret financial data and deliver actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
