Freelance Phlebotomist – Flexible Home Visits in Bristol

About the role

Heim is looking for a freelance phlebotomist to deliver home‑based blood‑testing services across Bristol and surrounding areas. You will work independently, travelling to patients’ homes, and use Heim’s digital platform to manage appointments and record results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled blood draws at patients’ residences as a lone practitioner, supported by a mobile app and telephone assistance.
• Ensure samples are correctly labelled, stored and dispatched to the hub for courier collection.
• Document test results in the patient’s medical record and report any risks to the Clinical Operations team.
• Maintain compliance with company protocols, health‑and‑safety legislation and confidentiality requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months full‑time phlebotomy experience (at least 6 months recent experience).
• Enhanced DBS clearance and personal professional indemnity insurance.
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle for community visits.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Phlebotomy – venous blood sampling and sample handling.
• Proficiency with a digital mobile application for scheduling, note‑taking and reporting.
