French-speaking Financial Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a French‑speaking Financial Accountant/Manager to support our Monaco entity while based in our Manchester office. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting responsibilities with ERP management and process improvement, ensuring accurate IFRS‑compliant reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational accounting for the Monaco entity remotely, including journal entries, general ledger activity and month‑end close.
• Maintain the local Monaco ERP system and upload results to the global ERP, supporting mapping and consolidation activities.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations for multiple entities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and IFRS.
• Deliver weekly trading data to shareholders and collaborate with finance teams in Monaco, Group Finance and Commercial Finance.
• Support internal and external audits, monitor regulatory changes and contribute to ad‑hoc projects and process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across finance functions and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Fluent in French (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial consolidation.
