Front of House Supervisor – Catering Services

About the role

HCL is seeking an experienced Front of House Supervisor to manage daily operations of its busy catering service at Farnham House, Stevenage. You will lead a team delivering breakfast and lunch services while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front‑of‑house activities across breakfast and lunch shifts.
• Lead, motivate and support the front‑of‑house team.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve queries.
• Manage stock ordering, control and monthly stock checks.
• Operate and maintain the coffee bar, including barista duties.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety and company policies.
• Complete operational paperwork and due‑diligence records.
• Support the Chef Manager in meeting operational and financial targets.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, catering or retail.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Experience handling cash and managing stock.
• Barista experience is desirable.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with the ability to lead by example.
