Fuel Terminal Operator – Avonmouth (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Fuel Terminal Operator to join our team at a top‑tier COMAH site in Avonmouth. This permanent, days‑based position (8 am‑4 pm) ensures safe and efficient 24/7 fuel handling across the terminal.

Key responsibilities

• Control and operate basic plant and equipment to meet quality and safety specifications.
• Manage pipeline receipts, tank‑to‑tank transfers, road tanker receipts and loading.
• Set up pumping routes for receiving, delivery and inter‑site fuel movement.
• Report and investigate deviations from normal operating conditions and handle basic process upsets.
• Maintain stock records and investigate any discrepancies.

Required profile

• Safety‑focused professional with experience in an industrial, engineering, process or regulated environment.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to safe working practices.
• Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification and experience in a regulated industry.
• Previous experience on a COMAH site or in a fuel‑handling environment is highly advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
