Full Stack Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to help scale Housr’s platform that connects students, parents and housing partners. You will work in a fast‑moving, purpose‑driven environment, building new revenue streams and improving the student rental experience worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs using PHP and Laravel.
• Create responsive frontend experiences with React, Next.js and React Native (Expo).
• Operate and optimise services in an AWS environment (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS).
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams, owning features from concept to delivery.
• Maintain a clean, modular codebase backed by MySQL and enforce code quality through reviews.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools while applying solid engineering judgement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience, preferably in a startup or scale‑up.
• Comfortable working across the full stack, with a bias toward either backend or frontend.
• Strong focus on code quality, performance and maintainability.
• Proactive, ambitious and able to influence product decisions.

Required skills
