Full-time Faculty – Adult Learning Program (eCampus)

About the role

Nova Scotia Community College is seeking two full‑time faculty members to join the School of Access, Education and Language’s eCampus Adult Learning Program (ALP). The positions start around August 17 2026 and are remote, requiring a suitable home office and proximity to any NSCC campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in asynchronous online courses for the ALP.
• Teach specific subject areas (e.g., Academic Biology, Chemistry, Global Geography, Digital Technology) and adapt to reassignment as needed.
• Advise a caseload of approximately twenty part‑time adult learners pursuing a Nova Scotia High School Graduation Diploma.
• Design, prepare, assess, and evaluate learning experiences using flexible teaching practices and technologies.
• Participate in committees, curriculum development, program marketing, and work‑placement monitoring.

Required profile

• Experience teaching high‑school level (Grade 10+) or equivalent adult education.
• Demonstrated ability to apply adult‑learning principles in an asynchronous online environment.
• Strong communication and advisory skills for supporting diverse learners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems, specifically Brightspace.
