Full‑time Primary Teaching Assistant (Year 5)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a thriving Church of England junior school in Cheltenham. The role is full‑time and focused on supporting Year 5 pupils, including targeted assistance for a child with ASD and ADHD. You will work closely with teachers, the SENCo and other assistants to create a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide learning support to all Year 5 pupils.
• Deliver structured, consistent assistance to a child with ASD and ADHD.
• Break learning tasks into manageable steps and use visual prompts.
• Implement positive behaviour strategies and respond to sensory needs.
• Collaborate with class teachers, the SENCo and external agencies.
