Full‑time Yard Person – Bedford

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Yard Person to join our depot near Wyboston on a full‑time basis. You will support the storage, preparation and installation of a wide range of construction and civil‑engineering equipment across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack and label small and large items for sale or hire.
• Quality‑check, clean and perform wet‑work on equipment.
• Manually handle products and maintain a tidy, safe yard environment.
• Assist with product installations at customer sites, including occasional overnight stays.
• Uphold health‑and‑safety standards and liaise professionally with customers.

Required profile

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work.
• Reliable, hardworking and eager to learn about the construction sector.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel and stay overnight when required.

Required skills

• Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred).
• 7.5‑tonne driving licence (preferred).
