About the role

We are looking for a passionate Maths, English and Functional Skills Lecturer to join a leading further‑education college in Manchester. You will deliver high‑quality teaching, support learner progression and contribute to a vibrant academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Maths, English or Functional Skills for further‑education learners.
• Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and departmental standards.
• Assist with student recruitment, guidance, and progression pathways.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards across the department.

Required profile

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in English or Maths.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with a learner‑focused approach.
• Experience managing a team or driving standards is desirable.
