Fund Formation Lawyer – 4+ PQE – Credit Fund (London)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading credit fund to strengthen its London legal team. The Fund Formation Lawyer will work closely with the General Counsel, providing expertise on fund structuring, corporate matters and regulatory issues across a global portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on the creation and structuring of private credit funds and related regulated products.
• Draft and review fund formation and distribution documentation.
• Support broader corporate transactions and regulatory compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on cross‑border initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials.
• Minimum of four years post‑qualification experience, preferably within the funds team of a top‑tier city or US law firm.
• Demonstrated experience in fund formation and distribution documentation for private funds or regulated products.
• In‑house experience in an asset manager, bank or private credit fund is advantageous but not mandatory.
