Future Programmes Earth Observation & Science Placement

About the role

Join Airbus on exciting future space missions as part of the Future Programmes & Proposals group in Stevenage. You will be directly involved in running studies and proposals, supporting system engineers and project managers throughout the full lifecycle of Earth Observation and Science mission concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Mission & Requirements Analysis – support technical studies and define system architecture, including satellite accommodation, mechanical design, propulsion and thermal aspects.
• Performance & Budgeting – conduct performance analyses and assist in preparing project budgets.
• Proposals & Documentation – help develop proposals by creating arguments, technical documentation and presentations.
• Stakeholder Engagement – take part in client meetings and collaborate with international Airbus teams.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree (or studying towards) in Aerospace Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Strong interest in the space industry and analytical mindset.
• Experience from university projects is a plus.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills and ability to work in a team.

What we offer

• Salary of £24,500 per year.
