Gas Installation Planner

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Gas Installation Planner to join a busy and growing installations team. The role involves managing engineer schedules, coordinating works, liaising with customers and ensuring installation projects run efficiently from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and schedule work for engineers, electricians and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily engineer diaries and run regular job status reports.
• Coordinate appointments and communicate with residents about upcoming works.
• Act as a point of contact for clients via telephone and email.
• Ensure jobs are issued with necessary information, materials and documentation.
• Check asbestos registers and arrange reports or surveys when required.
• Organise scaffolding and other site requirements.
• Update and distribute planned works schedules to clients and chase outstanding order numbers.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
• Confident written and verbal communication, customer‑focused telephone manner.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Good IT skills and experience using scheduling or planning systems.
• Previous experience in planning, scheduling, logistics, repairs, maintenance or construction environments is advantageous.
