GCE A Level History Examiner (2016 Specification) – Remote

About the role

Pearson Plc is seeking qualified History teachers to work as remote examiners for the GCE A Level (2016 Specification). You will assess candidates' responses using the pre‑defined mark scheme, primarily via the ePEN online marking system, from the comfort of your home.

Key responsibilities

• Mark assigned scripts accurately and consistently, applying the official mark scheme.
• Submit marking samples to your Team Leader according to the schedule.
• Adhere to all marking milestones and deadlines.
• Complete required administrative tasks for each marking batch.

Required profile

• At least one academic year of teaching experience within the last eight years, in the relevant subject.
• Hold a university degree or equivalent qualification.
• Be a qualified teacher with a high level of subject knowledge in History.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in applying the GCE A Level History mark scheme.
• Experience using the ePEN online marking platform.
