General Assistant – Gym Cleaning (20 hrs/week)

About the role

Everlast Gyms is looking for a reliable General Assistant to join the cleaning team on a 20‑hour‑per‑week basis. You will help maintain a spotless, safe, and welcoming environment for members across all gym areas.

Key responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean gym floors, equipment, studios, locker rooms, showers and communal spaces.
• Sanitise and disinfect surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
• Empty bins, replace liners and follow waste‑disposal procedures.
• Monitor cleaning‑supply levels and notify management when stock is low.
• Collaborate with the gym team to ensure a seamless member experience.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
• Uphold Everlast Gyms’ cleanliness and safety standards at all times.

Required profile

• Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation and safe chemical handling (training provided if needed).
• Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communicator and team player.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends in line with gym opening hours.
