General Manager - Bershka Edinburgh

About the role

INDITEX is recruiting a General Manager for a Bershka store in Edinburgh (East Lothian). The role reports to the Brand Manager / HR Manager and covers the end-to-end performance of a high-volume, fast-moving store. It is a full-time position in an environment where priorities can change daily.

Key responsibilities

• Drive store performance, sales, productivity and profitability through data, KPIs and daily follow-through, and lead commercial launches and marketing initiatives
• Keep visual standards and floor execution consistent, and ensure the customer journey (flow, fitting rooms, queues) is smooth and engaging
• Ensure accurate, on-time replenishment, an organised stockroom, and consistent standards in security, shrinkage, cash procedures, health and safety and compliance
• Maintain high cleaning and presentation standards, report maintenance issues and follow them through to resolution
• Build engagement through visible leadership, regular feedback, inclusive recruitment and coaching; develop leaders and build succession plans
• Manage the hours budget and build rotas that match trading patterns and operational priorities, monitoring productivity and cash-unit performance
• Meet and improve service minimums, using customer feedback to shape the customer experience

Required profile

• Experience leading a fast-paced, high-volume retail operation with strong commercial results
• Confident leadership of large teams, including coaching and performance conversations
• Strong operational discipline (stock, shrinkage, cash, compliance)
• Passion for fashion and a strong understanding of trends and competitors
