General Manager / Business Lead - Pumps

About the role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to take full ownership of a specialist pump engineering business. This senior position will oversee day‑to‑day operations, manage a diverse team, and drive both performance and growth within a well‑established service, maintenance and engineering organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead office staff, workshop personnel and field service engineers to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Manage budgets, profitability and overall business performance.
• Develop existing customer relationships and identify new growth opportunities.
• Support business development and commercial activities.
• Mentor, develop and motivate the team while maintaining health & safety, quality and operational excellence standards.

Required profile

• Current experience as a General Manager, Business Lead, Operations Manager, Service Manager, Branch Manager, Engineering Manager or Aftermarket Manager.
• Proven track record leading engineering or service teams.
• Commercial awareness with responsibility for budgets and profitability.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Hands‑on approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
