General Manager - Logistics 3PL

About the role

This is a hands‑on senior leadership position overseeing both warehouse and transport operations for a specialist 3PL business. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality service to a portfolio of customers while driving commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage day‑to‑day warehouse and transport activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy and safety.
• Own overall business performance, acting as the operational lead within the company.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure service excellence and retention.
• Support sales and commercial initiatives, including pricing, proposals and account growth.
• Balance service delivery across multiple client requirements in a multi‑customer logistics environment.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes, people and systems.
• Maintain high standards of operational discipline, quality and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong background in logistics, transport or warehousing, preferably in a multi‑customer setting.
• Experience in specialist, white‑glove or service‑led logistics operations is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on in a niche business environment.
• Commercially aware with experience in customer management and business development.
• High attention to detail and focus on service quality.
• Credible leader capable of engaging operational teams and customers.
