General Office Manager – Band 6 (Permanent)

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Access and Performance team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This is a permanent Band 6 General Office Manager post, working 36 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 08:00‑16:00.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large group of staff, ensuring effective teamwork.
• Prioritise conflicting demands and work independently with initiative.
• Implement change using established change‑management methodology.
• Maintain high standards of organisation and methodical processes.
• Communicate confidently and empathetically with service users and colleagues, both in person and over the phone.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
• Confident, caring and empathetic when dealing with service users and colleagues.
• Well‑organised, methodical with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient to cope with the demands of managing a large staff group.
• Experience in implementing change and knowledge of change‑management methodology.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the TrakCare patient management system.
• Knowledge of change‑management methodology.
