General Operator – Cleanroom Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented General Operator to join our fast‑paced manufacturing team in a regulated cleanroom environment. The role involves maintaining high production standards and supporting a world‑class facility. Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience and are keen to develop their skills in a highly controlled setting.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain a Bronze License Badge for Production area (Grade C/D) access.
• Follow correct gowning and cleaning procedures for aseptic and non‑aseptic filling lines.
• Prepare cleaning materials and execute cleaning regimes according to SOPs.
• Transfer and handle materials safely into classified production areas.
• Maintain production stock levels and monitor expiration dates.
• Clean and maintain equipment in line with SOPs, cGMP and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
• Operate airlocks and, after training, assist with loading part washers and autoclaves.
• Assist with packaging, labelling and in‑process weight checks.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and complete documentation adhering to data integrity principles.
• Report any non‑conformance to area leaders or Quality Assurance.

Required profile

• GCSE Maths and English (grade C or above) or equivalent numeracy and literacy.
• Previous experience in a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals, food, automotive, make‑up or engineering.
• Manufacturing experience is highly desirable; pharmaceutical experience is a strong bonus.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is required.

• £13.86 per hour plus a 22 % shift allowance
• Overtime opportunities, including weekends
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract, 37.5 hours per week
• Early shift (07:00‑15:00) or late shift (15:00‑22:45) options
