General Practice Physician – Consultant (London)

About the role

The General Practice Institute at Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a senior consultant to diagnose, manage and treat patients in a primary‑care setting. The role includes daytime and out‑of‑hours coverage for the Concierge Medicine service and participation in executive health assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care within the Department of General Practice, including diagnosis, management and referral.
• Deliver daytime coverage (08:00‑18:00) for Concierge Medicine and act as backup during staff absences.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call rota, covering evenings and weekends as required.
• Conduct executive health assessments and occasional home visits for programme members.
• Contribute to clinical triage, scheduling mechanisms and care‑coordination workflows.
• Engage in clinical governance, audit, teaching and multidisciplinary team activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree (M.B.B.S or equivalent) and registration on the GMC GP Register.
• MRCGP qualification.
• Current UK visa or permission to work.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a substantive consultant post.
• Training in appraisal techniques and a postgraduate thesis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic patient care systems, specifically the EPIC Electronic Medical Record.
• ALS (Advanced Life Support) training.
• Ability to use IT tools for clinical governance and audit reporting.
