Geography & Religious Education Teacher – Fixed‑Term (1 year)

About the role

We are partnering with a welcoming secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a qualified Geography and Religious Education teacher for a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term contract starting in September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Geography and RE lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Create differentiated resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and school‑wide activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching Geography and Religious Education at secondary level.
• Confidence teaching both subjects up to GCSE level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
