About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to cover a short‑term sickness absence at a mixed secondary school in Manor Park, East London. The role starts with a four‑week contract and may be extended based on performance and school needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress and attainment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of a diverse learner cohort.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and uphold school behaviour standards.
- Contribute to the wider aims and ethos of the Humanities department.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography.
- Experience teaching Geography in a UK secondary school setting.
- Relevant degree in Geography, Humanities or a related discipline.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

- Proven ability to deliver secondary‑level Geography curriculum.
