Geography Teacher – Secondary School (Bexley)

About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a Geography Teacher for a permanent position in a mainstream secondary school in the Borough of Bexley, South East London. The role starts in September 2026 and involves teaching KS3 and KS4 pupils on a five‑day week, supported by Learning Support Assistants.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
- Collaborate with LSAs and senior staff to support student learning.
- Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching Geography to KS3 and KS4 in the UK.
- Relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
- Teaching qualification such as QTS or QTLS (preferred) or equivalent.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Proactive, innovative approach to student engagement.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references.
