Geophysicist – Oxford (Full‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a Geophysicist to join an expanding geophysical consultancy based near Oxford. The role involves delivering specialist geophysical surveys for engineering, environmental, infrastructure and construction projects across the UK and abroad. You will be involved in every stage of project delivery, from initial planning through to final reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute geophysical surveys and site investigations.
• Acquire, process and interpret geophysical datasets.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Operate modern geophysical instrumentation on a variety of assignments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geophysical results into project designs.

Required profile

• Degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in acquiring, processing and interpreting geophysical data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK manual driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to travel and work in the field, residing within commuting distance of Oxford.
• Positive, adaptable and team‑oriented attitude.
