About the role
Join the EMEA People team as a German Payroll Specialist on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be responsible for the end‑to‑end German payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance and supporting broader EMEA payroll initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full German payroll cycle in partnership with an outsourced provider.
- Prepare and submit all statutory returns, tax filings and legal reports for Germany and the wider EMEA region.
- Lead internal and external payroll audits across assigned countries.
- Execute month‑end payroll accounting and reconciliation procedures.
- Maintain HRIS data and input payroll instructions accurately.
- Resolve complex employee and HR payroll queries.
- Stay current on German labour law, tax and social security changes.
- Support a major payroll transformation project and vendor transition.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience processing payroll within the EMEA region.
- Strong, up‑to‑date knowledge of German payroll legislation, tax and social security.
- Proven experience working with third‑party outsourced payroll providers.
- Familiarity with European collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using HRIS platforms.
