Gifts and Stewardship Officer

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Gifts and Stewardship Officer to support our fundraising and donor engagement activities at the University of Oxford. This temporary, part‑time position starts as soon as possible, working 21 hours per week for an initial 12‑week period.
Key responsibilities
- Process donations and maintain accurate gift records.
- Coordinate donor stewardship activities, including thank‑you communications and recognition programmes.
- Develop and deliver stewardship plans to engage and re‑engage donors.
- Prepare fundraising reports and analyse performance.
- Support fundraising appeals, annual giving initiatives and communications by email and post.
- Assist in creating fundraising materials, donation forms and promotional resources.
- Maintain online donation pages and website content.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners for gift processing and fund administration.
Required profile
- Experience in gift administration or fundraising support.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Customer‑focused relationship‑building approach.
