Global Forecasting Manager

About the role

As part of Hilti’s Global Demand Planning and S&OP function, the Global Forecasting Manager will lead the statistical forecasting process across all markets. The role combines data analysis, model development and close collaboration with business stakeholders to turn demand patterns into reliable forecasts that drive operational decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain statistical forecasts using sales history and appropriate forecasting methods.
• Continuously improve the forecasting process to support S&OP decision‑making.
• Analyse forecast performance, identify root causes of errors and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor, measure and report forecast accuracy and quality.
• Partner with market organisations, global process managers and IT teams to enhance forecasting capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend alternative forecasting approaches and methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience applying statistical forecasting methods such as time‑series and baseline models in a commercial environment.
• Hands‑on experience with demand planning cycles and ownership of statistical baseline forecasts within S&OP/IBP.
• Strong analytical and reporting abilities with the capacity to interpret complex data sets.
• University degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics or a related field is preferred.
