Graduate Energy Engineer

About the role

Our client operates at the intersection of property, engineering and data, helping commercial buildings perform better. This graduate‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to energy and sustainability services across office and retail portfolios, combining on‑site engineering insight with data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site energy surveys across commercial buildings.
• Assess HVAC systems, lighting and building controls.
• Analyse energy consumption data to identify trends and savings opportunities.
• Produce clear, practical energy audit reports.
• Support metering (AMR) installation and coordinate projects.
• Work closely with facilities teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project data and documentation.

Profile

• Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Energy or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills, proficient in Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and proactive.
• Confident working on‑site in live building environments.
• Genuine interest in energy, sustainability and building performance.

Required skills

• Excel for data analysis.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) or building controls.
• Energy data analysis and audit reporting.
• Metering (AMR) installation support.
