Graduate Geotechnical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Technician to join a well‑established environmental and geotechnical consultancy in Watford. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience across a variety of ground investigation projects, supporting senior engineers and delivering high‑quality technical data.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with site investigations, including drilling, sampling and in‑field observations.
• Perform soil and rock logging and prepare detailed field notes.
• Carry out laboratory testing on collected samples and assist with sample preparation.
• Collect, process and analyse data for technical reports.
• Support the preparation of technical documentation and contribute to project deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in ground investigation and laboratory testing.
• Excellent written communication and technical report writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Residence within a reasonable commuting distance to Watford.
