Graduate Maths / Science Teaching Assistant

About the role

This full‑time, term‑time position supports a mainstream secondary school in West London. You will work alongside teachers in the mathematics and three science departments, helping to deliver lessons and provide additional support to pupils, including those with special educational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics lessons.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils with learning or SEN requirements.
• Prepare classroom resources and help manage classroom activities.
• Contribute to the school’s wider community by participating in extracurricular and CPD events.

Required profile

• University degree in mathematics, accounting, biology, chemistry, physics or a related subject.
• Previous experience supporting children in a school or similar setting.
• Professional demeanor with an enthusiastic and friendly approach.
• Knowledge of or experience with special educational needs is desirable.
